Data
reveals a silent crisis
1 in 2 young people experiences mental health issues - a 50% increase compared to five years ago
This increase was larger in girls than boys
young women report over 3 times more mental health problems than young men
At the same time
2 x more young men than women die by suicide
addiction affects young men 3 times more often than women
men are twice as likely to be killed by homicide than women
they are 14 times more likely to be the killer of their (ex) partner
This silent crisis calls for action
These numbers are shocking, showing that gender inequalites increase rapidly, harming both men and women, but also our society at large.
In order to rebalance equality, we need to understand the origins of these inequalities. Yet at the same time these have driven our research and understanding as a result of:
Assumptions we didn't challenge
Patterns we didn't see
Structures we didn't question
This captures us in a reinforcing loop between research and society, shaping not only how we understand the world, but how we live in it. Affecting our policy, care, culture and democracy.
At HAUS OF MIRA, we reveal what hides between numbers and narratives.
We translate data into experience, herewith uncovering the hidden layers that shape our understanding of the world.
Our projects are designed to drive novel insights and meaningful change to
REBALANCE THE WORLD

OUR WORKFLOW
We bring science and art into dialogue to create impact. Each project starts with something unseen or not yet articulated. Together, we merge our scientific insights with artistic intuition. We translate complex realities into immersive projects that move people and challenge perspectives.
Our process:
-
Reveal — Identify invisible patterns in data, research, or lived experience.
-
Transform — Collaborate across disciplines to translate them into tangible works.
-
Expose — Bring these insights to the public through exhibitions, education, and dialogue.
